This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us when you use our website at foodsconnected.com (Site) and any downloadable software application that we may from time to time provide (App and together, FC). Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, and a password which you provided us in order to create a user account. This information will include personal data as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act) as amended;
  • information you may provide whenever you interact with FC (User Content);
  • details of transactions you carry out on FC;
  • details of your use of FC (including, but not limited to traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data) and the resources that you access; and
  • any other information you may provide from time to time in relation to any customer surveys we may ask you to carry out.

IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES

We may collect information about your hardware, including, where available, your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to any businesses providing content on FC. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

For the same reason, when you access FC, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your hardware.

WHAT IS A COOKIE?

cookie is a small text file containing anonymous information (letters and numbers) which acts as an identifier that will be sent by our server to your computer or mobile device when you visit FC.

Any access request may be subject to a fee to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

You also have the right to ensure that we hold correct and up to date information. Finally, FC will from time to time contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.
